5th place for the Student Team “Minders” in the World Olympiad in Educational Robotics

The international distinctions continue for the Student Team “Minders” of our School that won the 5th place in the World Olympiad of Educational Robotics 2021! The competition on “Powerbots – the future of energy” took place online from 18 to 21 November with the participation of 66 countries.

The students of the 2nd Senior High School Giannis Gamaletsos, Dionysis Kanellis, Giorgos Klonis, Thanos Kotsokolos and Konstantinos Moustakakis presented the project “AirField – Utilization of air energy in automatic greenhouses” and were distinguished in the top five of the Competition that participated in the Open and 25 Teams that competed in the Senior Category.

The “Airfield” project aims at the green energy transition as it gives autonomy to agricultural production, while increasing the efficiency of renewable energy produced.

The preparation of the students was undertaken by the Robotics Coaches Dimitris Moraitis, Iasonas Taoukis and Christos Antonopoulos as well as the Scientific Associate Orpheus Zafeiris.
