7th place for the “Prismatic” Student Team in the F1 in Schools World Championship
In the 16th World Finals of the STEM F1 in Schools Competition, the 7th place was won by the Student Team “Prismatic” of the Educational Renaissance and the 3rd General High School of Serres. (In this Competition, cooperation groups are created between private and public schools depending on their ranking in the Panhellenic Competition). The Student Team, in addition to being distinguished in the Top 10 of the best teams, also scored the 1st fastest time (1,014 sec) in the track races and participated in the Finals of the knock out races, winning the 2nd place.
This global success confirms the continuous and substantial training implemented by our School in new technologies, STEM and educational robotics.
The games took place from 4 to 8 June 2021 in England, with the participation of 43 teams from around the world. Due to the pandemic, the races were held for the first time remotely without the physical presence of the participants.
The students of the Educational Renaissance who participated in the Student Team are: Ergis Papadopoulos (Designer & Team Leader), Dionysis Kanellis (Marketing & Team Management Manager), Giannis Neophytos (Construction Manager).
The successful preparation of the students was undertaken by the Coaches Dimitris Moraitis, Giannis Tountas from the Educational Renaissance.
