With one of the highest distinctions, the participation of the Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi in this year’s Education Leaders Awards stood out, as a recognition of the quality educational work that is being carried out.
The distinction “Private High School of the Year” is the culmination of the systematic effort, vision and philosophy of the School that is structured from the very first levels of education of the Kindergarten and Primary School.
The High School of Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi focus on two axes:
-in ensuring global education both as a multilevel education and as a humanitarian education to shape the integrated personality of the student who will creatively integrate tomorrow into the scientific, cultural and social reality of our country, Europe and the wider world.
– in the admission of students in Higher Education through their success in the Panhellenic Examinations and abroad through the International G.C.E. A-Levels, which is included in the High School program
However, the distinctions of the Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi in the individual categories of the Competition were also important:
In the category “Youth Entrepreneurship” was awarded the Gold Award for the development of a product of the Student Virtual Business “By Heart”. “By Heart” product is an electronic stick for visually impaired people that has three high-tech sensors that detect obstacles and then give sound and sensory instructions to the person holding it. The electronic cane that the students of the School envisioned and designed is environmentally friendly, as it is reconstructed from recyclable materials and its sensors do not emit radiation waves that would harm the environment.
In the category “Development of Horizontal Skills” was distinguished with the Silver Award for Soft skills and skills developed by the students who participate in the Group F1 in Schools. Through their participation, they develop important skills that strengthen their personality both individually and as a team. It is noted that this year the “Arrow Racers” Student Group won the Fastest Car Award at the F1 World Schools Final in Abu Dhabi.
In the category “Best Digital Presence” was awarded the Silver Award for the design and implementation of digital communication of the School for the period 2017-2019 on social media, guided by the online security of students.
Congratulations to the IT Manager and Robotics Coach of our School Mr. Dimitris Moraitis, who in the context of the Competition was named “Distinguished Teacher 2020” for all his work and contribution to education.
The General Director of the School, Mrs. Eri Manta, stated characteristically:
” In a negative situation like that of Covid 19 – where inaction, immobility, incarceration but also fear, insecurity and uncertainty prevailed – all teachers, mobilized on the idea of an optimistic perspective for our children, felt compelled to activate positively by utilizing ideas, actions, programs always for the benefit of children.
We consider it very important for every teacher to dare, to fight and to achieve his personal transcendence and, as far as possible, to reverse a gloomy emotional state of his students in competitiveness, activity, hope and perspective.
For all of us in the Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi, these distinctions are a great joy, a great honor and a great justification. “
The Education Leaders Awards was attended by a number of public and private schools, colleges, and universities, which were awarded after the evaluation previously given by the President Mrs. Anna Diamantopoulos and the Members of the Jury.
The above great distinctions are dedicated to our students, our teachers, our people, our School!
Congratulations to everybody!
