The students of the A2 GCE-Biology department had the opportunity to carry out a very interesting experiment on the topic: “Chromatographic analysis of chlorophyll from spinach leaves”.
During the experiment that took place on Monday, September 21, 2020 in the Laboratory of Sciences, the students analyzed the different pigments present in the chloroplast cells by the method of chromatography, under the supervision of Biology and Chemistry professors, Mrs. Valentina Koumpena and Mrs. Leoni Panagiotopoulou.
The experiment was conducted in English for the needs of the GCE-Biology Program and the students applied the method of extraction and chromatography themselves.
