The World Product Start Up Award was won by the Minders Student Team of our School, as part of its participation in the WRO Educational Robotics Olympiad held in Dortmund, Germany.
Our students and Team members Yiannis Gamaletsos, Orestis Zikoulis, Dionysis Kanellis, Thanos Kotsokolos and Giorgos Klonis, presented the innovative project ”Remind” which is a virtual friend that creates incentives for citizens to recycle, managed to distinguish themselves and be awarded. The theme of this year’s event was “The Robot, My Friend”.
In addition, the Minders achieved a remarkable 6th place worldwide, among 365 teams from 73 countries.
These successes are a continuation of the already successful course of our School’s Student Team in Greece and throughout the world, which has won a total of eight times the 1st place in the Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition and has participated in 7 World Educational Robotics Olympiads, with top world honors, special awards and reaching the top ten in the world four times.
Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi, through the systematic and continuous preparation and hands-on training of its students that takes place in the Robotics Club from the first grades of Primary School, continues to raise the bar high in the education of Robotics and New Technologies in Greece.
The preparation of the students was undertaken by the Robotics Coaches Mr. Dimitris Moraitis, Mr. Jason Taoukis and Mr. Timos Tryfonidis.
