The student collaboration team Daedalus Racing, comprising students from Ekpaideftiki Anagennisi (Educational Renaissance), successfully completed its outstanding participation in the STEM Racing World Final (formerly F1 in Schools) held in Singapore.
In a global event featuring 83 top teams from around the world, Daedalus Racing emerged as the top-ranked Greek team, showcasing the strength of Greek student innovation on the international STEM map.
The students who proudly represented our school were:
- Evita Zabouni, Marilia Athanasiou (Core Members)
- Manolis Vaikousis, Nikolas Laskaridis (Alternate Members)
Their successful preparation was guided by their coaches, Mr. Yiannis Tountas and Mr. Dimitris Moraitis.
The collaboration team also included students from Erasmeio Hellenic-German School and Mandoulides Schools – Dukes Education.
Key Achievements of the Team:
- Their race car achieved times that ranked it among the top 10 fastest worldwide, out of 664 races.
- Daedalus Racing was recognized as one of the top 3 teams globally in the Digital Media category, with the recognition coming from Motorsport.tv, one of the most reputable organizations in motorsport.
- Their overall presence demonstrated that Greek student teams can compete on equal terms with the best in the world, thanks to quality, consistency, and innovation.

Ekpaideftiki Anagennisi is widely known for its success in international STEM competitions. It has established a strong, long-standing presence in the F1 in Schools / STEM Racing competition, achieving major successes at both national and international levels:

The collaborative team Athena Racing, including students from Ekpaideftiki Anagennisi, received the FIA Women in Motorsport Award at the World Final in Singapore — one of the most prestigious awards for all-female teams worldwide. - 2022 | Vision Racing
A collaboration team including our school won the international Digital Media Award and ranked 7th globally among dozens of countries. - 2021 | Prismatic
Participated in the World Final, placing 7th overall, recording the fastest track time, and reaching the final knockout rounds. - 2019 | Arrow Racers
Won the Fastest Car Award for the fastest car at the World Final in Abu Dhabi, finishing 10th overall. - 2018 | F1yers (Primary School)
Crowned Greek Champions in the Jaguar Primary School Challenge, earning 6 special awards, including those for Portfolio, Engineering Design, Presentation, and Manufacturing. - 2017 | Omega Racing Team
Secured 2nd place in the Greek National Final of F1 in Schools. - Greek National Achievements (2016–2025):
A series of victories including 1st places in 2017 and 2020, and several 2nd and 3rd place finishes across different age categories (Junior High & High School), confirming the school’s consistency and excellence over the years.
